Hi, I’m Lindsay.

I’m the owner and caregiver behind Gemini Pets. The inspiration came from my own pets, and my decade of experience working in veterinary medicine. I adopted my Pyrenees/Anatolian mix, Yeti, and fell in love with him right away -- but he was anything but easy to raise. As a guardian breed living in a city, there were obvious challenges to living our daily lives. Walks became a source of stress. The sounds outside our window were anxiety inducing. Our lives were shaped by him in ways I wouldn't expect. After finding wonderful dog trainers to help us navigate raising a reactive dog in a busy city, our quality of life greatly improved. We travel and backpack together, we hike, we live a full life together. Yeti is my buddy, my boy, my friend. He's the face of our logo.

When I found myself out of the house for long hours, I knew I needed some help to provide for his needs. The prospect of hiring a dog walker made me nervous, though. Would they be able to physically and mentally handle the strength and triggers of my 120-pound reactive dog? I was incredibly lucky, and my fears were eased when we met our walker. She worked beautifully with him, and soon we had found a person we could rely on and trust.

As I learned more about dog training, meeting more dogs (and their humans), I saw a need for pet care professionals who took the time to understand one thing: that dogs are still dogs, and they have the same basic needs regardless of their temperament, and they are often simply misunderstood. These dogs that we label "reactive" are still loved, happy, and healthy -- they just have different needs, different breeds, and different experiences. I am so grateful for the people who took the time to work with us. Over the years, I have been humbled by the bonds I've made with reactive, anxious, and fearful dogs, and the people who love them. That's what I hope to bring to you and your dog -- thoughtfulness, care, and trust.

I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets.

With love (and cookies),

Lindsay,
Yeti and Rune
